It worked great for a while

It worked great for a while, but even though I hand wash it after each use and only use it 2-3 times a week (weekends only) I noticed that the jar was working properly has jumped. on the spout. I am always very careful when using and washing and it is kept in a safe place. I don't remember the glass hitting anything that would break it, so I'm really not sure how that happened. I would really like a different french press but am not quite sure if I should buy this again or try a slightly more…

Perfect for a morning cup of coffee

I confess I was surprised by the size of this machine when it arrived. I expected something more. I think I didn't read the ounce. The capacity is correct when I ordered. What can I say, it was perfect. I made 1/2 pot on weekday mornings and my husband and I couldn't even finish 1/2 pot. But this French Press is the perfect size for a cup of coffee. No waste. And as a newbie to French press coffee, I was amazed at how easy it was to make. I don't know why I didn't try it before. This is the…

The best coffee without five bucks a cup!

Put away your electric coffee makers! A French Press (when used properly) makes the most of everything you've ever tasted. Francois et Mimi presses are inexpensive and easy to clean. They make decent coffee taste great and good coffee taste amazing. Since French presses don't use boiling water, the unpleasant bitter taste that comes with drip coffee makers doesn't make it into your cup. Without those awful bitternesses, you no longer have to pour cream and sugar over your coffee. A drop of…

You will not be disappointed! Wonderful coffee!

I decided between Francois et Mimi and a slightly more expensive French Press and I'm glad I ordered it! I've been looking for a French Press for a long time so when I stumbled across this and the reviews I had to look into it. Then I saw the price and I was not mistaken! It really makes a difference in coffee. And like other reviewers, my coffee does not contain ground coffee! I have 12 oz and shouldn't go up a size. If you're looking for a regular-sized cup of coffee, 16/18 ounces is probably

Makes an amazing cup of coffee

I gave up my Mr. Coffee for it and have never looked back. It makes the best cup of coffee I've ever had. The cleaning scheme is very simple. My only concern is that the glass feels a bit brittle, I wish it was thicker, but that doesn't affect performance, it just means I need to be extra careful with cleaning/storage. UPDATE: I've been using it for a few months now, the quality is excellent. I had no issues with the build quality. Here's the ratio advice I use. Remember, I prefer a strong cup…

  • High price

This thing is amazing. I bought it in a super sale for about $10. It's easily worth three times what it costs. The glass seems unbreakable. I've certainly not been gentle with it, and it's holding up like new. I take it to the set and have coffee for 6-8 people at any time. Even without hot water, I can fill it up with lukewarm water and let it steep for several hours. I squeeze them every time I return to them, chill them, and sip delicious iced coffee without the acidity of coffee brewed in…

Great little coffee or tea press for two

I'm more of a tea lover, I use a filter coffee maker for coffee but love it for brewing. Above all, I buy the fresh teas from Teavana. The metal mesh is very thin and easy to clean. I have a rinse aid on my sink and it cleans it great. I only washed it once when I first got it. It presses coffee or tea very well and offers an excellent taste of the drink. For tea, you can squeeze out several tea leaves. The capacity is large for a hearty serving or two of teacups and takes up very little…

My first attempt was a complete success!

I've had it for a few days and just tried it. I'm not a big coffee drinker, but I like it when the mood lifts. Because I'm so laid back I spent some time watching "how to" videos before ordering because I wanted to see what I was getting myself into. My first attempt was a complete success. I think the training really paid off. It's not that difficult, but there are some measurements and calculations to consider. brought to a boil and left to sit so that it just boils) into the soil and allow…
