The product description is broad and deceptive. Says 7 inches so the buyer will assume the hook is 7 inches high. No way. This is a mini hook. Maybe for a washcloth, but not for a big and thick Turkish towel. I hate it when the description is wrong! These return.

We bought these hooks to hang towels instead of towel rails. We don't have a lot of wall space and towel racks take up a lot of space, and these hooks were a great choice. They are very stylish and fit behind the door with towels, and the door has plenty of room to open, we installed them on our business board. Towels hang easily on hooks and never fall off. Ordered two more for hanging robes.
