🔲 Sophisticated Satin Nickel Double Switch Wall Plate - Franklin Brass Classic Beaded Wall Plate/Cover Review

I am very happy with the quality and beauty of this wall plate. It was very easy to install and seems built to last as long as you want it to. It is these wall panels that become antiques in old homes. We are delighted to have found "heirloom" quality at such a great price!

I bought this dual switch panel and matching socket covers to help one of my kids remodel a bathroom. The light switches are too close to the door skin so the previous owner cut 1/2 inch off one side of the old wood cover to fit. No problem! I brought a new Franklin Brass cap to the weld shop and they cut it to size.

They are attractive and decorate my room beautifully. The only issue that's really significant is that the screws are only half the size (length) of what they should be. They are half the length of the ones they replaced. When screwing into the wall they don't go deep enough and the switch plate won't hold. So I had to go to Home Depot to buy longer screws.

We didn't always want the same old tiles for our bathroom renovation, so we looked around and found these tiles. We like them, but... Although the VG plate, one of the screws is unthreaded and looks like it "melted" - I had to go to a hardware store to find an extra screw. I know it's not a "big deal", but it's a headache and a lot of time wasted. I wanted to send it back but too much hassle. Pooh!

A recent kitchen renovation required a total of seven new switch plates and socket covers of various sizes. All were installed on the long back wall of the kitchen. New rear mudguard grey, white and black. and these matte silver lids go great with it. They came individually wrapped with the right length and number of screws needed. I like the way they look. They just have the right finishes, great design and feel solid so 2 stars. I ordered 3 of these panels in different sizes to cover 3 different light switch configurations in my kitchen. 2 out of 3 plates had scratches on the front and 1 of the packages had no screws. I would not order them again for these reasons. I was disappointed. To be honest I didn't feel like waiting or messing around with returns or exchanges so I kept it to myself. Hopefully the scratches…
