This skirt is the PERFECT private school skirt! I don't know why most uniform skirts are so short, typical private school dress code is knee length skirts, so finding skirts of the right length was very difficult in my opinion. Great Rock! I bought this for my Halloween costume as Hermione Granger. It will be wonderful! I would like to make some corrections to the description - it does NOT have an elasticated back as advertised. However, it has an adjustable waist (see image). I bought size 20 thinking it would be better to have a skirt that is a little big and needs to be tucked in if needed. My waist size is about 28 (7-9 for juniors). I would definitely buy a size 18. Great quality. Nice thick fabric. Sharp folds. Heavy duty belt and zip closure. Decent weight for cold weather but not too heavy for summer. There is also an adjustable elastic in the back waist to make it a little tighter if needed even on larger sizes. The photo shows that the folds are not sewn, which means that there is enough space with wide hips. It is as long as advertised and sits just below the knee on me (5ft 4in).
