Don't waste your money on this. I don't think it cleans as well as plain old baking soda and hydrogen peroxide. After the soaking time is up I still have to brush it to get rid of the build up. With baking soda and peroxide, my retainers come out clear and deodorized without cleaning. The only advantage of this tool is the packaging. Some people might like this stuff but I thought it was awful. I can't say it brightened or cleared my mouthguard that much. That's why I bought this. Also, this thing leaves the worst taste on your side. I couldn't keep it in my mouth. I can stand minty mouthwash and stuff like that, but it's NOT mint. Buy something else. Two problems with this product. 1) As other reviewers have said, it's a fine powder and when you open the package and pour it in water it makes you cough even if you're not that close. I did not find it safe to inhale. 2) I accidentally forgot to take the retainer out of the solution after 10 minutes (let sit for 1 hour) and it turned my retainer blue!
