Heats up quickly on gas hob

Bought as a replacement birthday present for my boyfriend after the kettle I bought him stopped working after two weeks. He loves it and heats up on our gas stove about as fast as a kettle. This is ideal for him as he drinks around 5-10 cups of instant coffee a day and therefore needs hot water several times a day. Pros: Fast heating, beautiful design, high quality materials. Cons: Not really, but it's a bit heavy. But no cheating for my friend!

When heated over a cup of water

When heated over a cup of water it certainly works faster and works exactly as advertised. The fins at the base add little weight, so the speed advantage on small numbers is negligible. Another benefit I've noticed is that there's a lot less hot air rising to the top of the kettle, so the handle doesn't get hot even when you're heating a full pot. If you're trying to make a quick coffee in the morning, a faster brew time will definitely help.

High quality! for kitchen and dining room

I like the quality of this kettle. The size is just right for me. It turns out a two-day supply of tea. Every other day I boil water, fill 64 oz. Double-walled stainless steel vacuum bottle, put three PG-Tips tea bags in it, let the tea cool for several hours, put the bottle in the fridge and enjoy more iced tea at noon. My partner drinks a cup of hot tea every morning. She would like a smaller kettle and I hope Turbo Pot makes it available soon. By the way, judging by the reviews of other…

This kettle is perfect!

Awesome Teapot; this kettle is perfect. It actually heats water much faster than any other kettle I've used, 30-40% faster. When pouring, it does not drip, does not flow, the handle does not heat up. Some reviews say it's heavy, and yes it's heavier than a cheap aluminum kettle, but only marginally heavier than any good, sturdy kettle of the same capacity. It actually seems balanced so when full it's easy to pour and weight isn't an issue. It's not overly heavy, and because it's fast…

  • Confident

  • Definitely Bad Product

Beautiful and musical

I've been using this for a month after my last teapot literally fell apart. My last kettle worked for about two years without any problems (except for a horrible squeak instead of a pleasant whistling) on electric stoves. But after we moved to a new house with a gas stove, I found that the handle was attached to the kettle with plastic parts. The heat required the use of an oven mitt to lift the kettle and after a month the heat made the plastic so brittle the handle fell off entirely. gas…
