This is a little misleading as the photos in the listing make what they call a 'hood' appear to stand alone and be much thicker than it actually is . It's literally a very thin, soft, fluffy - very flexible - material that the cat has to manually hold down and push into. My cat doesn't do this, just lies down on it like a regular cat bed. This bed is perfect for baking cookies. All of my cats are attracted to him. One or the other cat is always happy. Most of the time they don't go under the hood. Only one cat has found out so far. The hood has no support, it's like a blanket so they really have to stick their noses in, or you can hold it open for them and see if they want to snuggle underneath.
