Great Heavy Duty Headset

As others have pointed out, I'm also missing graphics on product images. Legal or not, it's easy to install, there's no play in the bearings, but it slides smoothly. I'm Clyde and it's mounted on a heavy e-bike with a 12lb motor up front and 203mm hydraulic brakes, so I put more stress on this headset than most. I've only put about 30 miles on the new headset so far, but I'll update this review from time to time whether things change or not.

big gaps won't hold up

After installation I thought I might have lost a part but I didn't lose anything. 2 gaps in the upper part between the head and the "seal", then another one between the wedge and spacers. I looked at the picture and damn it's right there, look under the cap, you can see that's the gap you're going to get under your washer. Now look under the logo. You see another gap. so you know what will be there after a few rides. I wish I could see it before buying it. I'm too lazy to take it off now, I'll…

Excellent headset for the price, unsealed.

You really can't go wrong with this. The cups are thick. The bottom bearing cup is MASSIVE, I see no way of breaking the cups on this headset. It also has a very large lower bearing which is very nice. This headset is one of the smoothest leaking headsets I've seen. The difference between this and the full size FSA it replaced is incredible. I am very happy with this headset. I would like to point out that this headset is listed as sealed in the ad, but it is NOT sealed. These are standard…

Heavy Duty Heavy Duty Headset

I have two of these, one on my loaded touring bike and one on my Mongoose Dolomite. Light years better than the factory Dolomite headset, much smoother, more precise and tighter. While this headset is heavy, I've had no issues with the Touring's and doubt I'll ever need to replace it. If you build a lightweight carbon road bike and this fits you will hate it for its weight. If you're looking for a tough headset for use on tandems, mountain bikes, touring bikes and you don't care about weight…
