Yes, it's plastic, but it's very sturdy and otherwise well made.

From arrival to installation, it took less than thirty minutes. Nice bulb included along with a few extra screws. What's not to like? Would buy again.

Pros
  • It’s plastic.... a little smaller than I wanted. Easy to install. I hope it lasts through the winter.

  • May not be suitable for areas with high wind or weather conditions

Has nice matching Black-Knobbed screws to hold the top cover on . BUT . NO NUTS for them .

Has nice matching Black-Knobbed screws to hold the top cover on . BUT . NO NUTS included for them . Try finding tiny nuts w/matching(threads) somewhere . What a pain . Took HOURs to find nuts to fit the nice thumb screws . Also, the nuts SHOULD be MOUNTED/Embedded on the under side of the lid . Otherwise, when you unscrew them to replace the bulb, the nuts will fall out.(Good luck finding them … you will likely need to get new ones AGAIN.) Very Good Product- But Smaller Than Expected

I like everything about this product. It was very easy to install on our existing 3” round pole. It even included an adapter for use on a square post. The provided LED bulb should be Adequate for most uses.Even though it is made of plastic, it should last at least as long as a metal one.
