I have an old Fuji XP that I have been using for several years. It worked great and I took it snorkeling a few times. I upgraded to the XP50 for higher quality HD video and photos at the recommendation of a photographer friend who said the image quality couldn't be better at this price point. This camera works reasonably well in natural light and of course it's great that it works underwater but what let me down was the lack of versatility. I expected this camera to be my new soapbox; a camera that I could use for all occasions. However, I quickly realized that there was no flash in it. This camera has a bad reputation around here, but I think it's a wonderful machine when taken care of. It takes great pictures and videos both above and below water. It can safely be under water for half an hour, after which it must be taken out and gently dried. It can also dive to sixteen feet (I rarely go deeper than eight, so that was fine with me).
