Ideal for infrared photography

I bought this lens for infrared photography. I have an XT-2. Not all lenses are suitable for this type of work. There is an f1.4 aperture version of this lens. However, it is 1000 dollars. Version f1.4 received an excellent rating from Lifepixel for using IR. I didn't know how well an f2.8 lens would work because the barrel says nothing about IR. I took a risk It paid off.
