The ratio of price and quality is very pleasing, I will repeat the purchase.

Switched from XC 50-230mm. Immediately drew attention to a faster and tenacious focus. The loss of 135mm at the long end was certainly felt, but such is a tribute to aperture ratio. I really liked the internal focus. I had never dealt with such a construct before. Any operations with the lens (focusing, zooming in/out) are performed without changing the size of the optics body. The weight, together with the X-T2 carcass, is very, very tolerant. I don’t remember which Canon I held in my hands…

Pros
  • Autofocus, stabilization, internal focusing, aperture, image quality
Cons
  • Didn't find it.

Cameras and photos are worth every penny

This lens performs amazingly well and will stand up to some abuse. I recently took a picture of the Oregon coast during a crazy hurricane that had sand flying all over the place. Paired with my X-T1, this lens did everything I wanted it to and came away unscathed. The coating on the front panel was excellent at wicking away moisture and all the weather seals did their job. After half an hour's treatment with a small brush, the lens looked like new, with no sand in the mechanisms or the rings…

  • Wide range

I'm sure you know how sharp almost everyone is

This lens is incredibly sharp! For those who have other Fujifilm lenses I'm sure you know how sharp almost all of them are. I have not been dissatisfied with any lens I have purchased but I genuinely think this is the sharpest lens I have ever owned, especially since it is a Zoon. There's no easy way to compare it to other lenses from other manufacturers, like the Nikon 70-200mm lens that I also have, as you really have to compare cameras too, but in my attempts to do so, this lens really…

An excellent lens that now replaces my FF.

The lens, as many have already noted, is excellent. I came across Fuji about a year ago while taking the xt10 for a trip. Included was a zoom 18-55. I have an FF setup, a Pentax k1 with a range of primes and zooms including a Tamron 70-200 2.8. I was so impressed with the Fuji that I couldn't sell it after the trip. Later I got xt2, then this lens. In the meantime I've also bought a 35mm F2 and a 27mm 2.8. I needed a small system for travel, outdoors and casual photography. So buying this lens…

No better DSLR lens

Big and bulky on my X-PRO2, let alone my X-E2. Also expensive. I've always had mixed feelings about zooms - I'm more comfortable with a prime lens. So why five stars? Not as big and bulky compared to 70-200mm on a full frame camera. About 2 times cheaper than the last 70-200 f/2.8. It allows me to take photos that would be difficult to achieve with any other Fuji lens. Let's start with OIS - I've never been really stable with heavy manual lenses, but you won't know that when you see the results

Pros
  • Great for me

  • Neutral

Canon 70-200 2.8 -> Canon 70-200 4 -> Fuji 50-140

Concerned about 56mm 1.2 vs 90mmΒ² vs 50-140 2.8. I have all three at the moment but plan to only keep two of them. I think I'll keep 50-140 and 56.1.2. 50-140 is incredibly versatile. It's on par with the Canon 70-200 2.8 ii and Canon 70-200 F4 IS that I've owned before. Canon 70-200 2.8 is still better in terms of bokeh and higher magnification. The downside is 500g of extra weight, and if you add another 500g of full-size bodyweight, that adds up to another 1kg. It is not at all interesting…

A valuable purchase, some advantages!

Initially, oddly enough, I wanted to buy just a good portrait lens (there is an opinion among fujivods that this system is good only for fixes), so I was already going to take one of two: either the masterpiece xf56 1,2 (who knew and loved his drawing of a gentle love), or - rather, even xf90 f / 2, because I already had 16-55 f / 2,8 in my arsenal, which with a stretch solved the same problems as the 56th fix. Plus, I wanted more care in the direction of the television range. Then, having…

Pros
  • Good in all respects: - Very sharp, draws beautifully, good color reproduction; - Focusing is fast and accurate - even with continuous shooting and tracking autofocus. Shooting dynamic sports is a pleasure!; - Solid construction and internal focusing: when zooming, nothing goes anywhere, external dimensions do not change, all rings rotate smoothly and pleasantly; - The work of the stub is beyond praise. Shooting with a telephoto camera at dusk handheld at shutter speeds of the order of 1/30 and getting a sharp picture at the same time - this, of course, radically changes the approach to the shooting process; - Very versatile, suitable for everything: you need to shoot a sports report - easy; need a portrait with beautiful bokeh - please; it is not a problem to film a concert in the twilight of a nightclub. And even in architectural photography, where wide is usually required, I also found a use for it - I shot high-lying details. In general, the lens quickly became an absolutely indispensable tool for me.
Cons
  • There are no obvious shortcomings in it, all of the following are rather nit-picking: - The price, of course, bites. But you forget about the money spent as soon as you see a picture from it. If you are serious about photography, then strangle the toad and buy it, this is a really justified investment!; - The lens hood is a little tight to put on (at least while new), but I think it will still be developed. - The window for the filters on it also opens tightly. But I still almost never use it; - All the time I'm afraid that 2 screws with which the paw is screwed to the body will spontaneously unscrew, so I try never to wear the lens for it; - I don’t quite like the fact that the heel of the paw can be attached to the tripod only with a screw, i. E. You have to screw the tripod plate to it every time. We could easily make the shape of the paw under the arca-swiss rail standard, i. E. just like the new xf200 f/2.0, because it's really very convenient!; - The wardrobe trunk, of course, noticeably got heavier. But the weight cannot be called a disadvantage in any way, because. for a fast telephoto, this is inevitable. If you compare it with full-frame counterparts, then it is even small.
