They're nice to the touch, but there's something about steel where they break.

They are good and feel comfortable. Unfortunately I just noticed a chip on the pair I received right where the wire cutting part meets the splice. I have only used these pliers for splicing/cutting 12 AWG solid wire. Was only 5 days, 3 used. I'm actually not happy with it because I really started to like it as an alternative to Klein.
