At first I liked washing dishes without a brush.

I don't know how other people rate these five stars. At first I liked to wash the dishes without a sponge before putting them in the dishwasher, but after a month it started to smell really bad even though I washed it with soapy water every day. I had to soak this brush in several different cleaning products (dish soap, vinegar, baking soda) for 2-3 days before it got rid of most (but not all) of the odor. I also checked to make sure it was dishwasher safe - handle only. The bristles must be…

Pros
  • Sustainable materials: bamboo, recycled plastic
Cons
  • So far so good

Really in love with this item

My scotch rag kept leaking so I decided to give it a try. I was concerned that I would get annoyed with having to take a bottle of detergent and squeeze a little before each use. Believe it or not, it's fun. Why? Because the thing always looks clean. Those old squarepants looked disgusting and every time I used them I was sure I was going to get some weird sickness. Anyway - it's handy, very pretty, very easy to use and half the time you don't even need soap - it just helps you effectively…

Pros
  • Small stain in the sink and on the planet
Cons
  • Crumpled

Second broken in a row.

Bought because we have to do the dishes and it seemed like an environmentally conscious thing to do. I had a subscription and it renewed every few months. Well, the last two broke as soon as I used them. So this is not good. The head sticks only half an inch into the bamboo handle where it breaks. So I go back to my 100% plastic and wash it in the dishwasher. If they don't break, they're good. The bristles are good and firm, there is a flat plastic nozzle for washing dishes. The handle is short

Pros
  • Available in three different colors
Cons
  • thin

Nice thick handle too smooth, irregularly shaped brush head

(varnished?) Wooden handle is quite thick, but too smooth and too round in cross-section: soapy hands slide over it, allowing the brush to spin, not the press surface. The brush itself is a bit stiffer than I'd like, but acceptable. The shape is such that I have to hold the brush in a slightly awkward position to get the bristles into the "corner" between the bottom and the pan wall. and other V-areas that need cleaning. So far the handle seems to handle the dishwasher with ease, but that's…

Pros
  • Strong bristles fight caking
Cons
  • Big and bulky
