These are the BEST periodic sponges on the market. Made from natural and biodegradable walnut shells, they are delicate yet durable. They last for weeks if not months if you keep them clean (and dry, that's key to keeping sponges from getting really nasty) and during that time you can actually see them biodegrading. These scrubbers are great. I especially appreciate their cleanliness on my juicer parts. They seem to work very well with colander-type kitchen appliances, which is difficult to achieve.
