Good Frequency Counter - But

This is a very good frequency counter but the power meter function is not very accurate. See my full review on my YouTube channel, ID hamrad88.

Pros
  • Ideal tool for signal testing and radio maintenance
Cons
  • Upgradeable

Revainrating 1 out of 5

On HF - only frequency measurement, power measurement is useless.

Displays zero power regardless of 5-50W input power on bands 10,12,15,17. The maximum output is 8 watts, measured at 20 meters and longer, regardless of an input power of 5-50 watts. For as little as $15 you can get a working model like the Surecom SW-102.

Pros
  • Built-in dummy load, convenient to use and more reliable through testing
Cons
  • Contact seller

Good for reference

They are good for quick reference. PROS: - price ($39 or less) - cable allows direct connection to radio to check frequency and power - antenna for frequency CONS: - manual could use improvement - antenna does not read power Also this is good for reference the price .

Pros
  • With an external antenna, it can only measure the frequency without contact
Cons
  • Difficult to say

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Works but seems to have either calibration or internal stability issues.

Nice device, with operating instructions, VHF, shows more of the second harmonic frequency, power measurement was not stable, PL tone measurement was OK. Either a product quality issue or it was missing a proper initial factory calibration. The documentation included a rough calibration sequence, no attempt has yet been made to recalibrate the device.

Pros
  • Frequency measurement range: 1-2400MHz. Power measurement range: 0.1W-50W
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors
