I use it on my hamster and it works great. One of the steps didn't show everything we needed to do, so we had to undo a part to fix it. And when we installed the back, we had to put screws or something like that in different places to make it more secure. It took a while (especially if you didn't have a drill). But overall it's a really good buy.

I knew it was going to be a simple and cheap shelf, but it turned out to be worse than I expected. One of the pieces didn't match the instructions, I was asked to put magnets in the piece with no holes for it and no way to attach it. The lowercase letters fell off immediately, the back is in three parts, so the middle just pops up. When peeling off the letters denoting the different parts, the pink paint peeled off. Bought this bookshelf for my 7 year old daughter's room with desk to match. In general, the quality is cheap. I didn't expect a high standard given the low price and as she is rude with things I refuse to put anything in her room that would upset me if destroyed. Every surface of this device was scratched right out of the box. Several sections of the bandage are not properly bonded. I would send it back unless I expect my daughter to scratch it in her room within the first month of use anyway.

First, it is not easy to assemble. The screws didn't line up with the holes at all, so my shelves are uneven. Second, the paint peels or scratches very easily. It's garbage. I know it's cheap but not worth it. The back panel consists of three parts, which are ugly and flexible. It's not stable at all. The instructions for inserting the headboard are vague. This was a nice little extra shelf to add to my daughter's Minnie Mouse decor but the smell once it came in was unbearable. Later I tried reading other reviews to see if anyone had the same thing and what they did to get rid of it but only one complained. I have used Lysol wipes and spray but to no avail. The doors don't stay closed.
