Furman SS6B 6-Outlet Surge Protector (Set of 2) Review

A typical line filter is made of plastic and weighs no more than a pound. These villains are tough, metal, and serious-looking. Today we hooked them up to our Expresso bikes and we hope these protectors will do the trick! But their quality control can be lacking. One unit was DOA but I found a loose ground wire inside which solved the problem.

Long cord, stylish black color and 6 sockets make it ideal for mobile applications. These devices don't eliminate electrical interference, but they protect your devices from dangerous surges that could damage them. I use these two in combination with a small Furman voltage regulator. Gives me peace of mind that my expensive gear is getting clean power!

I am more than satisfied with the performance of this power strip. Immediate improvement in accuracy. I'm not sure if I've changed this power supply, but I've noticed a performance boost across all audio and video hardware. The sound quality is clearer, the video signal is clearer. I bought these for my 2 channel audio system, recently added 2 amplifiers next to the speakers and need surge protectors in certain places. The box arrived within 2 days of ordering and contained 2 expansions. The units are heavy duty steel construction with heavy duty sockets installed. The power cord is quite long (10 feet?), all but 18 inches removed and the plug replaced with a WattGate 5266i AC plug. The stick plug was ok, but as I said, I only needed a short power cord.
