Don't buy from an auto parts store it's the same PCV and much cheaper

What do you say it's PCV. It fits and works perfectly on my 2007 Corolla. Also a lot since my auto parts store wanted $12 and an exchange for the exact same part. Installation takes 5 minutes. I also like Fram products. They have always served me well.

Pros
  • Everything is great!
Cons
  • Nothing

Not for 2004 Toyota Matrix

This item does not fit for 2004 Toyota Matrix XR 1.8 FWD. Found this the hard way after removing the old one and trying to install this one - the problem is its threads don't match the original motor threads. Although the product is not expensive, this issue wasted a lot of time and the installation of the Standard Motor Products V411 PCV valve was completed which fits without problems.

Pros

Cons

Bought for 2004 and 2007 Corollas

bought to replace the PCV valve on my 2004 and 2007 Corollas. Just a basic maintenance replacement. Steps: Remove the air hose. Use a 22mm deep socket to remove the old PCV valve. Apply a small amount of anti-seize to the threads of the new PCV valve. Install a new one with the same 22mm deep bushing. don't overtighten. You don't have to be too tight. Reinstall the air hose. Very easy.

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Very good exhaust and emissions suggestion

You will need a 22mm socket wrench for this or you can just use an adjustable wrench which will work fine. I have tested both options myself. Replaced the PCV valve on my 2000 Chevrolet Prism that was long overdue and needed replacing. For such an important sub-$10 part, don't be afraid to check it every 6 months or a year just to make sure it's working properly and isn't clogged with any junk. The exchange took me 5 minutes. Very satisfied, item arrived very quickly.

Pros
  • good thing
