Hardly audible sound: home theater

The kit is fairly easy to assemble. However, there is no volume control and nothing helps depending on the Bluetooth source. I connected my iPhone via bluetooth and turned up the iPhone volume and I could barely hear the sound coming out of the speaker. I think I should buy an audio amplifier now. I am not very happy with this purchase.

Nice set for learning. Consider replacing the speaker for better sound.

The kit was fairly easy to assemble. Pairing worked without any problems. I have the tilt switch replaced with a jumper as I didn't need it but for a student this is a cool learning device.The sound from the included speaker was weak but I installed the board in an old radio with a 3" 8 ohm speaker , which *significantly* improved the sound and volume. Convert an old radio into a Bluetooth speaker for $15? Yes, please!

Barely audible sound in home cinema

The set is quite easy to assemble. However, there is no volume control and nothing helps depending on the Bluetooth source. Nice simple little kit

Sounds good. I've used this to replace an iHome that has failed when it's unavailable. Only used with iPad to stream movies. It took about 15 minutes to assemble, but I'm an engineer with a full size workshop and adequate resources. (I usually assemble most of my electronics myself, I don't have BT boards that are audio oriented and not serial data oriented, that would be a waste of time, so that's what I got). The mercury switch is not needed. You can replace it with a switch or latch circuit,
