💾 G.SKILL RipjawsX F3-1600C9S-8GXM 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR3 SDRAM Desktop Memory 1600MHz (PC3 12800) Review

I saw some reviews saying it was DOA and maybe it was for them but when I got it installed on the motherboard it worked fine at first but then the motherboard acted like it was dead but when I took a closer look I noticed I hadn't put it all the way in and when I did it worked fine. It's just that you won't notice a huge difference in computer speed with 12GB of RAM. If I had to say if it increases at all it would be 1%, but don't blame G.Skill because that's how RAM works.

I want to give more stars but this purchase makes me feel like an idiot. I didn't buy a warranty initially because I didn't know quality control would be an issue. It was dead on arrival and a waste of my money. I really don't know what else to say that a great product would be ruined by zero quality control. There is nothing but errors and crashes.

Bought three of these to see if they would bring my old Gulftown X58 system back to life - to my surprise they work great with the same voltages and timings as the old 6GB installed. Can run at rated speed, timings and voltage when my chip is overclocked to 4.2GHz. Had wanted to do this for a long time, just needed to drop the price enough to justify an upgrade. For $120 my 9 year old system can at least keep up with the new guys. Western Digital Red hard drives. Windows 10 pro.

Not sure if the product is mislabeled but it is described as 1600MHz ddr3. When installed on my system, each flash drive only shows up as 1333MHz in the BIOS. I installed 2 different motherboards in multiple slots and tried several other 1600MHz memory modules on the same systems. These other sticks corresponded to a speed of 1600 MHz.
