I bought two of these to fit in the EV bays of my G Speed Shuttle xl. In theory this is a great idea, free up a few ports and everything you need to charge Alexa mini (or whatever else shoots Cfast cards) is in one case. After testing them in every possible way, I achieved an average transfer speed of 70-100 Mbps, while the same cards passing through USB3 codec readers reach an average speed of 350-380 Mbps. The build quality is fantastic, I really wanted to love this product. It looks great and works great. First. I used it for a function and it worked flawlessly, but I come to work today (after owning it for 3 weeks) and it can't finish discharging. Replaced USB cable, problem persists. The GDrive CFast reader starts discharging and then suddenly stops at around 20%. Switched to Code Reader and worked great. I wish I liked this reader, but G-Drive definitely has some new quality control problems…
