. Gabriel front shocks and now truck shocks no problem

4 stars because they haven't been used long enough to really test their "quality" but they have installed longitudinally with Gabriel shock absorbers and now the truck rolls over bumps like a world champion. I've had OEMs since 2003 - so they were long overdue for my 2003 Tundra V8 SR5. The mechanic said the installation was fairly easy. No complaints. Great price, win enough Autozone to make a Revain order worthwhile.

Pros
  • Fits rear: Toyota Tundra 2000-2006
Cons
  • Available in white only

missing parts not for sale

The shock absorbers appear to be strong, but one was missing a rubber pad. Without spacers, the shock is useless and you cannot buy them separately. Of course I noticed that after my truck was dismantled. I called my local suspension shop and they gave me some old spacers they had lying around which I modified to fit - of course I had to rent a car to go there. I was lucky - without the kindness of the local shop I would have disappeared completely.

Pros
  • Performance Monotube for Trucks, Vans & SUVs, Chrome Stem
Cons
  • Miscellaneous Miscellaneous

Ride height is back

235,000 miles. The shocks restore the ride quality and raise the rear of the truck about 2 inches. The truck feels more confident cornering and is firm but not harsh in potholes. In manual mode, the top bolt torque is 47 ft-lbs and the bottom bolt and nut on the control arm is 100 ft-lbs torque. Removing Fasteners. I was able to change the shocks without removing the tires, although the floor jack that raises the frame increased the clearance in the fender to give me better access to the top…

Pros
  • MaxSafety - Sensitivity and quick response times keep the tires in contact with the road for maximum stopping power and constant control
Cons
  • New competition is here
