Gamma Shockbuster Vibration Dampener Black Review

Like most mutes, it tends to stay off the strings. After about a week I threw it in a bag where no one else would see it. Not worth sending back the other two I bought for parts :-(

I didn't have time to do even 1 set when one of the hooks broke. Back to the Head Smartsorb vibration absorber. I've played a few games with no problems. Should never change. I just wanted black. Yes I know. stupid reason, but whatever.

It broke the first time I played it. The break occurred in the clip attached to the strings. Even though it's broken, it still works. The product would have been better if the end clips were made of a more durable material rather than cheap plastic.

I've always been a fan of silicone worms. These shocks are the closest to the original shocks I've used, so they suit me best. I've used silicon washers and all kinds of dampeners and this style has always been the most effective for me. Shockbusters have never let me down. Very forgiving and feedback is easy.

I like this product because it's so quiet it makes strings on contact. What I don't like is what happened to me about 1 week after possession: I mishandled the ball and the ball hit the end of the damper. The small plastic hook broke off and this damper is scrap now. So if you hit hard enough and the ball slides too far, this type of worm dampener can break.

Love Gamma dampener. I use them for all my racquets. There was one that had its plastic end broken on arrival but had no trouble breaking while playing and I've been using it for years. Just don't overexert them. They muffle the sound but still provide feedback about the right or wrong hit. Easy to put on. I wish the version was a little shorter for some racquets that are narrower at the bottom of the racquet.
