Great for e-bikes

I was converting my road bike into an e-bike so I had to crimp some relatively high current cables together. I didn't trust my soldering skills to stand up to the rattle and bullying of driving, so I needed a heavy duty crimp connector - it seems to do the job quite well.

Pros
  • HIGH VIBRATION RESISTANCE
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Ideal for use with accessories and consumables

I have been using copper connectors but due to the price increase I decided to try steel crimps and they worked great. I use them in a non-electrical context to create permanently strong paracord loops and they are perfect for that. Thanks to the people who answered my question about hardness versus copper.

Pros
  • For permanent termination of copper wires
Cons
  • Functionality

I buy them for AV accessories

I'm pretty old fashioned when it comes to electrical connections but decided to try them out for an application where soldering seemed difficult. The wires were different sizes - 16 gauge on one side and 10 gauge on the other. I stripped the wires, installed the 10 gauge side ferrules, and twisted the wires together. I was surprised at how easy it was to slide the ferrules onto the strands and use a ratchet crimping tool to crimp the ferrules. Finished links are very strong; I can't see any and
