🔌 Gardner Bender GSW 21 Electric Switch Review

I needed one so I ordered two at this price. It was a difficult install as the appliance (vacuum cleaner) was hard to come by. I did it and once it worked perfectly. Then it got stuck and didn't work. I kept pushing it harder and harder and it started working again. Then it stopped working again. Anyway, I can usually get it to work, but it's completely unreliable. Glad I ordered two.

I bought this online because I couldn't find the on/off switch in the big stores anymore. This is for the night light. I may have to weigh down the base of the lamp as this switch only works with significant force. Unfortunately you cannot find this when buying online and with COVID it is difficult to find this locally. For the sake of usability, I wouldn't do it again.

The unit was slightly larger than the description said but it still worked for my application (replacing a switch in a trailer ceiling vent). It works fully, but the switch is hard to snap in and looks like it could break at any moment. However, I've been using it regularly for a month now with no problems. Shifting hasn't gotten any easier. Got what I wanted, a cheap replacement switch. But next time I'll pay a little more for better quality.
