Perfect fit for vintage lamp

The perfect replacement for an old family heirloom lamp we inherited from relatives. I re-soldered the whole lamp as the old wiring was worn out and unreliable. There is a "night light" in the base and this switch has become an excellent replacement. The only problem is that the old switch was chrome plated and this one is brass. but that's a trifle!

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • New competition has arrived

He fixed the lamp. How long will it last is the question

Okay it doesn't even cost 7 bucks so it may be good? It works. The lamp lights up and then goes out. There is a plastic thread, so do not tighten the gorilla with the locking ring. However, it works. If it breaks in the next few months I'll update my review. As easy as it is to replace since it is unsoldered, I will just replace it again in a few years. Fixed a lamp for $100.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Unreliable

Perfect fit

How often do you find something of the same quality as 100 years old? I have an old hospital light with a broken switch - I think it has lasted long enough. This switch was so easy to install - it probably took me about an hour to complete, including disassembling the bulb to get to the switch. I was happy that everything was the same size, so nothing had to be drilled.

Pros
  • Robust workmanship
Cons
  • Damaged
