I use the Garmin handheld GLO to get the GPS signal on my plane and use my iPad and Fireflight for situational awareness in the cockpit. This friction mount helps keep it on the dashboard so it can pick up strong satellite signals. It holds up very well and looks good. Good price.

Works great! I use it all the time when in the air with my Samsung and iPad tablets that use the Garmin Pilot. I've had it for over a year now. There are no problems with the battery. A rubber seal is recommended. When it's clean, it sticks to everything.

It worked perfectly. From the box. I've used it with both iPad and iPhone via Bluetooth. The connection was instant. Buy a stand as shown in the picture - ingenious simplicity stays in place even at high speed on the water. The best GPS I've used in 20 years

Worked well, stayed in place on very rough terrain. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is that the GPS unit gets very hot in this black case when the sun hits it. It got so hot that the GPS device had to switch off several times during the day (90-100 degrees outside the truck at the time). Perhaps a lighter color (even white) will solve this problem.

The underside of the cover is as sticky as vinyl window tint but leaves no residue. Also prevents accidental pressing of the power button. Finally, you can fold the GLO into the case for night flight (otherwise the green and sticky indicators can be distracting). I was skeptical about buying it, but it's the best investment I've made adding situational awareness to the Jepp iPad app.
