🚗 Enhanced Driving Experience: Garmin Auto Friction Mount Kit with Speaker Review

I bought this for the new Garmin which was released November 2020. When I bought it it said it would fit the new model. You lied.

I didn't even know my Garmin had sound until I bought this mount. My Garmin snaps easily into place and the soft friction pad keeps the mount on the dashboard.

It offers flexibility to carry the device from car to car, camping etc. It's a little bulky but we have two of these as it can be charged with them. Base at home and the other left in the car. It is securely attached and allows for viewing.

This mount works well - does not move on the dashboard although the surface of the dashboard is uneven and the Montana does not sag or otherwise move. be to have a volume control - I don't see a way to change the volume on Montana itself.

Works well - good and noisy. Doesn't slide on the dashboard. The bendable metal base allows you to adapt the device to the dashboard. The only problem with the unit is that it randomly blows fuses in my truck (Toyota Tundra). I have blown 2 fuses since installing the unit.

I have had no problems using this mount with a Garmin Montana 650t. The screen remained visible at all times in daylight, which is desirable. Sign when Montana was on my dashboard.

All we wanted when we bought this automatic friction rest (with speaker) was for our new Garmin Montana 680t to give us verbal navigation instructions on how to ride. The 680t itself does not support voice output. The assembly takes place without instructions. When I first attached the 680t to the mount, the speaker didn't work. Then, when I tried to use the 680t on its own, it was no longer connected to the computer's USB, which is a disaster if you want to add a map to the unit or use Base…
