Last 18 months for exercise and fitness

I will not buy a Garmin watch again. I paid $900 for the Fenix 5 to last 18 months before dying. and now they want $130 for repairs. Give me a break!

Pros
  • Robust workmanship
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Not worth the ticket price.

Used this watch for 1 day, hated it. For the price, this watch lacks a lot. Yes, GPS is good, but otherwise you can buy a cheap Fossil hybrid smartwatch and save $250.

  • Everything is fine!

Great running watch

Great running watch; able to show the time and heartbeat which is all I need when I'm running. I would like it to automatically display the rate of hearing recovery with a programmed two minute timer. The battery life is amazing. Looks solid and well built.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Useless functions

Do Not Buy: Fitness Technology

This watch has been used and is sold as new. I tried not wearing them for 2 days and the watch showed that I burned 2000 calories a day without wearing them, not even the sports app wrong. Spent $500 on a used watch that is not recommended

Pros
  • Solid Construction
Cons
  • Empty

My favorite adventure watch of all time!

I have had the Fenix 5 for a few months now. Having had high end competing brands this is my favorite. Great features, great size for my wrist and very comfortable straps. This Garmin is a winner!

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • There are nuances

Navigating the interface is easy. Looks good

You will find many detailed video reviews of this device. I'll limit myself to a few interesting things that I appreciate about it. First, you can fully customize the watch face by choosing from 10 different watch face designs. So during the day I use the traditional hour hands and at night I switch them to numbers (HHMM). Each watch face has at least four different spots where you can choose different data items to display (date, altitude, battery level, etc. or nothing). It needs GPS for my…

TL; DR? No major issues, solid build, great technology

WiFi limited; Using BT to connect to phone app is all you need. Perhaps the free downloadable Garmin Express computer app will improve the usefulness of WIFI. Fur. So far GPS seems to be 90% accurate. Only a small section of the outdoor MTB trail wasn't closely followed. The battery life is amazing. I don't use the phone's notifications at all, and after a full week of daily running or cycling, BT syncing, and moderate backlight use, the remaining battery hit 80%. As far as I know there is no…
