🔴 Garmin Forerunner 220 Black and Red Review

I love this watch. My old Garmin is dead and I love this one even more. It picks up satellites very quickly. I love the live tracking feature when I have an iPhone. The husband can see where I am on my route. Also like when next to the phone automatically uploads to Garmin Connect. After completing the race, you will be told which "records" you have just broken. (Longest drive, fastest mile, fastest 5km) Easy to use and navigate screens. My photo shows the summary screen at the end of the run.

This watch is great. I've waited and waited to get it and I'm very glad I did. The battery life is fantastic and the screens are very easy to see and read while working. The most important thing I get from the 220 that I don't get from the free Android apps I already have is the speed alert and capability to look at it (instead of pulling out your phone) for instant tempo. Overall the 220 is a very good product and I will not use its many features for training. I bought it to replace an aging 305 that still works. Here's my take on a few days of wearing both. Features: Model 220 is smaller/thinner/lighter. The display is easier to read and scrolling through screens is easier. The 220 uses a USB charger, the 305 uses a wall outlet. Pros: Connects to satellites quickly, usually within 30 seconds for me, much shorter in most cases. Accurately records distance and allows me to customize gauges so I can always see my heart rate.
