Review on πŸ”΄ Garmin Forerunner 220 Black and Red by Jayme Newitt

Revainrating 4 out of 5

These watches are great. I waited and waited to get it and.

This watch is great. I've waited and waited to get it and I'm very glad I did. The battery life is fantastic and the screens are very easy to see and read while working. I also like the color aspect; It really makes the screen pop and adds an extra cool factor. Also, the design of the watch is very cool. I've worn it to work several times and gotten compliments. The Forerunner 220 is by far the most attractive running watch out there in my opinion. Apart from this very subjective quality, I also like that the buckle holds very well. It's always annoying when the end of the watch strap pops out while running. But there's a neat little tab that helps it stay in place. The only disappointment I had was getting a signal. All of the reviews I've read have gone on and on about how fast this watch picked up a satellite signal; and how he used some kind of map to figure out where the satellites would be, and blah blah blah. But for me, my wife's Forerunner 10 generally picks up a signal faster than my 220! Which is ridiculous considering the price difference! This is a feature I was really looking forward to. But on at least two occasions (when I was in a hurry to run fast) I just had to stop running and rely on MapMyRun because it took more than five minutes for my watch to get a signal. That issue aside, this is a great device and I'm glad I bought it.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • I vaguely remember
