This is Original Equipment. Garmin, at least in my experience, is notorious for its self-destructing wristbands. We actually thought our son was cutting out my wife's band (a different model) until we saw that the band had completely split in two on its own. I had another strip on my old 920xt that did the same thing. About a year later, my 945 already had a small crack in the group. Bought this item to replace when it finally expires.

OEM strap. The one that came with the watch. But when I bought the watch I had 2 strap holders so I assumed the new strap would have 2 as well. nope Only one. I broke the keeper in front of the group so it would be nice to have two. I no longer see them on the Garmin site. Amazon fakes don't last at all. It's just annoying. Given how expensive and popular the watch is, finding a basic strap shouldn't be that hard.

Not great value for money. Check out Ancool straps for a better price and faster fit. Can the quality be a little worse or just not suit me so well? but it literally costs a fraction. This group works fine. Overall I prefer it to be a little smart (that's a big difference in everyday life and that's why I bought it) but it's clearly overpriced considering how much cheaper it costs to make a good tape.

Comfortable strap. Fine-tuning is easy as your wrist size changes throughout the day. It matches the color and texture of the watch case. This makes my third of these straps over 5 years old - which means two straps have lasted 5 years. The silicone loop holding the loose end of the strap fails first, followed by the strap slots that engage the buckle.
