Wrist heart rate monitor is unreliable and one of the main reasons I bought this expensive watch. I am 63 years old and a professional mountain biker. Very disappointed and even worse when Garmin doesn't offer any solution other than using a chest strap. The strap needs to be too tight to work properly and becomes uncomfortable. The spread from one application to another is 50-60 or more beats per minute. Don't recommend the Garmin 945 if heart rate is important to you.
