Works as intended: Automotive electronics

Installed on my port outboard to try. It works very well! The Garmin display recognized it immediately and calibration was very easy.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

Works very well in marine electronics

This is a great product for seeing how thirsty your engine is! They have an old 5.7, 1999 Mercruiser. Use with Garmin echoMAP 65cv Plus Chartplotter/Sonar. The Garmin NMEA 2000 Starter Kit must be connected.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Not bad but...

You can do it at Autoelektronik

The sensor was easy to install. At first I was concerned about cutting the fuel hose, but it was easy. The connection on both sides is very strong and is fixed with a clamp. It is very interesting to watch the flow and find efficiency in the process.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Fuel hungry engine

I installed it on my boat which has a new board/hanger. The second time I pulled the boat out, I ran into rough water and every time I went off a wave crest my engine died. So, in the middle of choppy water, I pulled the gauge from the line and returned to my dock. When I got back I hooked up a small fuel pump to the line with and without a meter. There was easily a 5-fold difference in flow. Unfortunately the warranty expired when I installed the unit on my boat.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Negative is present

Good seller, not Garmin

Stops working after 2 months. Trying to get support from Garmin is like pulling teeth. They will make you troubleshoot forever. I've been back and forth with them for weeks now and still no solution. Update: 3 months later Garmin has finally agreed to replace it after 100 failures. Product exchange worked. They didn't send a replacement before I sent them back the defective one which was annoying because I had to buy a fitting to shut off the fuel system during transit. Update again: the…

Pros
  • Elegant design

  • Vulgarity
