The device is a bit cheaply made (plastic) and not durable at all. However, it seems to be working fine. It has a sufficient length of power cable and a sufficient length of plastic exhaust pipe. Until the plastic tube melts. The CO readings appeared to agree with those from the New Jersey State Inspection Station for CO. I've only used it twice and will come back at some point in the future to adjust my rating.

This exhaust gas analyzer works very well, the only reason is that it doesn't get 5 stars, it's not very accurate. The California Motor Vehicle Authority has very strict requirements, and among those requirements is an error of 0.5% much. However this is an essential tool for older vehicles to measure emissions, it does not measure other gases that are required but with low CO levels you will most likely have low hydrocarbon emissions as well.
