The product worked great, should come with a gasket.

Great value for money, the only issue I had was the missing gasket. But it fit my ex Honda Civic 04 and worked great when the engine was warm. Featured!

Pros
  • Better fuel economy
Cons
  • Minor issues

defective item best in thermostats

i bought this thermostat in august 2012 and today 2nd january 2013 i had to replace it again as the thermostat is not opening when it should which is causing that my car is overheating. the upper slide was frozen closed. Never buy from the company again

Pros
  • accurate temperature control
Cons

Not 100% working OEM

Not working properly. It's supposed to be an OEM replacement and made by a good company but not properly regulated and that's why I'm still getting the "Temperature out of range" error code. You must purchase a genuine Honda OEM thermostat for it to work properly.

Pros
  • Reduced emissions
Cons
  • Repair

Overheating - Engine Cooling & Air Conditioning

I have great faith in auto parts manufacturer GATES, in my case this thermostat failed in my old Honda Civic 1998 LX with manual transmission. I had an engine overheat. Apparently this thermostat does not open in time and causes the antifreeze to flow back to the heat exchanger.

Pros
  • Fast Engine Warm Up
Cons
  • Operating Speed
