Fast Delivery and Low Cost

Exactly what I needed for my truck and much cheaper than anywhere else with the fastest delivery. Ease of installation. Great article.

Pros

Works great with spares

I wish I had bought something like this sooner. The truck was heated with a normal thermostat 195*. It's rarely more than 200* these days, even though it's hot here in Las Vegas.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Interval

Large towing temperature fluctuations.

Replaced this in my 2014 Ram 2500, had a summer in Texas and it really cooled our towing temps. This is not an advertised part for your Ram but it fits my 2500 SLT Diesel well. A seal is also included if you are interested.

Pros
  • Fun
Cons
  • Some little things

Does not matter.

Not the slightest difference. From what I understand this is probably a standard 200 degree thermostat. There are no gates, or he hasn't enrolled a degree anywhere. It looks like cheap china put in a box by the gate. I could be wrong, but this looks correct.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • New competitors have appeared

Even with good grades, the temperature stayed at 220 and above.

My 03 RAM 3500 used to have a t-stat of 190 degrees. With this 180 loaded with about 14,000 pounds of truck, RV and boat and even scoring some good ratings, the temp stayed around the 220 highs and dropped to 186 immediately.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • There are nuances

Easy install and great performance

Replaced the thermostat on my 2004 Dodge Ram 2500 Cummins. I've had heater issues in the car and have tried a few things like flushing the heater core to no avail. After replacing the thermostat with Gates, I found that the heater in the car works fine. I was surprised when my temp gauge got close to the temp with the old thermostat. Something must have gone wrong with the old one; It is better to change the thermostat regularly. I'm the second owner of the truck so I'm not sure about the age…

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model
