Description of πŸ”§ Gates 34054 Engine Coolant Thermostat - OE Type

These thermostats match the OEM product fit, function and design. Features including jiggle pins and check valves for air venting, integral seals and integrated water outlet housings make these thermostats equivalent to the original equipment parts. Some have ports for attaching coolant temperature sensors. Gates - Driven By Possibility.

Terrible Thermostat, Avoid Buying

According to my experience, this thermostat didn't work properly and caused my engine to overheat. The only positive thing is that it was easy to install. But that doesn't make up for the negative impact it had on my vehicle's performance. I do not recommend this product.

Pros
  • Easy to install and use
Cons
  • Only compatible with vehicles that require a 180-degree thermostat

I installed the radiator and thermostat, then changed the fluids and started the car, yes no leaks. After 5 minutes, the temperature sensor will light up and the information system will prompt you to turn off the machine. Great, the new radiator is clogged or something. Called people who might know what to look for…
