Perfect for 2000 Nissan Maxima. It's coming from the driver's side of the engine. It is sometimes referred to as a "water control valve".

Installed on my 2010 Nissan Altima 2.5 for $40. Until my car gets 100°C warm! Time will tell if it will turn bad again and start heating up.

Fairly easy installation. Was glad to see the part I ordered is what I received. I had previously ordered other parts from a different seller and found that three of the four items were correct and the fourth was for a completely different vehicle.

Thermostat replaced when flushing coolant. This part is approximately 1/16 inch smaller than the factory part and does not have the small overflow hole like the factory part. Since it should blend in well with the work, I didn't use it.
