Fan clutch studs are missing. You have to be smart when removing it.

Fan clutch bolts are missing. We need to cleverly remove and reuse those from the old pump. This is a little tricky as the bolt is threaded on both ends. I had to use a few trucks at the base to free myself.

Pros
  • Good value for money
Cons
  • Weight

Just get AISIN in spare parts

it didn't cost 30,000. The original pump went 260,000 before it started dripping. I replaced it with an AISIN WPT802 (which Toyota used) and let me tell you something that caught my eye. It's much heavier than the gate. And before anyone says - yes. Fan clutch and blades are OK. He barely moved my dial when I checked the beat.

Pros
  • practical item
Cons
  • nothing

The picture is inaccurate - stay away.

The studs were not included in the kit so fitting the pulley and fan was a nightmare. They are M8x1.25 threaded and while the old pump's studs were 30mm long, even the 25mm bolts were too long. I ended up having to shorten them by adding a nut making them about 20mm long. The studs could not be removed from the old pump without damaging the studs themselves. This rating refers to 1GR-FE (Toyota 4runner 2004). Maybe it is compatible with other engines.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Mostly good but...
