Water Pumps with Light Review

This automotive replacement part was a disaster for my vehicle. Thanks to my knowledge gained in practice, I was able to determine quickly that this product was not up to par. The installation caused more problems than it solved, and it did not provide adequate cooling to my engine. The only positive aspect was the affordable price point, but that wasn't enough to justify the headache it caused. The pump fits my 1997 Diesel Ford F250 7.3 perfectly. This pump didn't fit my 7.3 search but I found it through a google search and then went back to Revain and they had it. It appears to be a better design than the Airtex and is one piece rather than bolted to the down tube.

A very disappointing product. Extremely poor (Chinese) cast with folds and irregularities over the entire surface. Even the machined surface that matches the engine has been damaged in some places. Most Gates products are premium quality and are usually made in Canada so this came as a big surprise. I'm giving it two stars because I suspect this thing might actually work, but it's too ugly for me to bolt to the front of my engine.
