This size will not fit 12 gauge wire. This is actually a 16-18 gauge, the wire was very thin! I am so disappointed because I have to back order this from another supplier and it is putting my small business at risk due to non standard order fulfillment. 😥

Too thin. He'll probably never get used to it since he's too skinny. It's 16 gauge wire cut in half. So in my opinion this is no longer a 16 gauge as it is too fragile to wrap stones to wear on necklaces. A slight tug and it will expand and ruin all my work. In the future I will only get a semi-solid and round shape.

I must have missed the part in the listing that said this wire was "Half Round". Anything I can handle. However, I cannot come to terms with how fragile this wire is and how uncomfortable it is to work with. I also have a feeling that the wire I received wasn't the 24g I ordered but probably less than 26g. Unfortunately, I wasted most of the wire I wanted to use simply because it's flimsy and too flexible. boo!
