Dog waste! I've been using this wire for several years and have had some corrosion issues. Today I discovered that it is not an 8ga cable. it is less than 8ga. It's also not copper wire, it's copper-coated wire.

However, both the rolls and the box they were shipped in had an unbearably toxic odor that could have been caused by mold or fungus since the product was damp at some point. The cable had to be wiped down with a strong detergent along the entire length. The warehouse worker would certainly have noticed the smell and shouldn't have shipped it. Dissatisfied!

Incredibly thick. Don't worry about conductivity. So thick it barely fits in the post hole. A thick red and black case should be hidden in the channel molding. Tip, insulate that wire the old-fashioned way. Weak point where two cables are connected. Use your fingernail to make a twist where you hammered it. The inner wires are the thinnest I've seen and very easy to accidentally cut if you cut them.
