Poor Quality Bulbs: Incandescent

The very first bulb we installed burned out right away, but we didn't give it much importance. The second lasted about 4 months before exploding when I didn't even turn it on, it just burst when it was off and I turned on the ceiling fan. Perhaps they are better suited for small, low-power devices.

Pros
  • Permanent Finish
Cons
  • Burn-In

Blown out in 2 weeks

I bought these bulbs for my ceiling fan. The previous lamp was over 7 years old and I had to replace it. Both bulbs from a new pack burned out with a difference of 2 weeks. Very frustrating as this device is in my home office. It was a waste of money and I will not buy it again.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Crumpled

Bulb Customer Service

When I received my package yesterday, my brother turned on the light in my ceiling fan and my mother asked him a question as soon as he looked away from one of the bulbs. ' YES EXPLODES, it's a good thing I spoke otherwise it would have exploded right in his face! Totally unacceptable and something needs to be done about it as soon as possible

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Long delivery

Didn't take it! in Incandescent Bulbs

Place both ceiling fans in son's room. A few days later, one of them exploded. Another exploded the next week. I assumed something was wrong with its light, but I put in new bulbs and they were fine. Maybe they were defective but I was a little frustrated that I spent money on 2 bulbs and had to replace both within 2 weeks.

Pros
  • Use soft white GE bulbs wherever you need a dimmable bulb. Ideal for use in ceiling fans, chandeliers, wall lamps.
Cons
  • Quick Guide

Exactly as advertised

This is GE and I bought a soft white 40 watt. I've only had them for a week but they hold up, black out perfectly and match my ceiling fan. They are just as bright and work just as well as I expected. If they burn out quickly like others have reported I will come back and change this review. But for now, this is the only solution to that stupid ceiling fan. We tried LED bulbs but the bulb doesn't work with them; We're assuming it doesn't draw enough power with LEDs.

Pros
  • Soft white ceiling lights provide a cozy relaxing light.
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Not GE! Causes a lot of unnecessary trouble! Don't waste money!

The description says GE but the bulbs are not marked, not GE. Our ceiling fan in the living room had 2 lightbulbs so I removed the lightbulbs and wanted to replace them with the exact same lightbulb that had blown which was a GE 40 watt which was clearly marked on the underside of the blown lightbulbs. The descriptions for the ones I bought said they were GE 40W and the pictures looked exactly like blown bulbs. The lamps I received were blank and had no branding at all. The lamp was the same…

Pros
  • The bulb's sturdy construction withstands the vibrations of the ceiling fan, making these soft white bulbs durable and ideal for ceiling fans.
Cons
  • No instructions
