GE Lighting 13472 85W Incandescent Bulb Review

I ordered these for the covered porch for Christmas. They had a timer to be outside for a few hours at night. Four out of five burned out in a few weeks! Very bad quality! Not cheap either!

Worked in less than a minute and blew. This bulb replaced one that had lasted five years. I bought the same brand and hoped for the same success. It took a week to arrive and then burned out almost immediately - don't recommend.

I bought 3 packs. The first one exploded the first time I turned on the light. I was disappointed but relieved that I had two left. Until the same thing happened to the two remaining lightbulbs! Headlights bought from a hardware store work great, so it's not a mounting or wiring issue. Don't waste your time and money with this product!

Ordered 7 of these bulbs. Six were shorted out in less than a week. One arrived broken. After numerous attempts to contact the company I was told that this was not their problem, it was Revain's. They refused to endorse their product. I was able to get in touch with Revain and they issued a full refund as we had already bought different bulbs from another store. 100% DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Perfect color depth. i love color It was just different pears. Pink. However. Today is April 22nd. A few days ago I noticed that one of two identical light bulbs (from the same location, delivered and used at the same time) had burned out. The rear window closed a month after I bought the light. Personally, I expect an $8 GE product, ESPECIALLY the lightbulb, to last more than 2 months. I'll call her and find out what the hell happened.

Bought eight red bulbs to decorate for Valentine's Day. One of the red bulbs immediately "burnt out" when switching on. This bulb was replaced with another that worked fine, so only the bulb was defective. Packaging/delivery was good, so there were no problems with delivery. Warning. When you order bulbs, order extras in case one of the bulbs fails with new use. :( There's no way to return the bulb - damn, shipping costs almost as much as the bulb itself. <sigh>

I use this in my charcoal stove when it is off from late spring to mid fall. The constant heat keeps the tubes from corroding and the red light is low enough not to be distracting but still reminds me the bulb is working. I sometimes get 6 months or even more from an onion, and on rare occasions as little as 6 weeks. Lifespans vary widely, but these are long-lasting bulbs. They also work well as heat lamps for raising chickens if you are short on space and don't want to use a 200w heat lamp. I…

I can't find them! When I was younger I bought them for my stage sets. I love them because the cover over the light is very thick and creates rich colors. The ones you can find at Walmart or other stores have a very thin coating and the result is a washed out color. The red looks like watercolor pink.
