Generic I think. Suspended from a chandelier, it looks like purple dust collected in the bottom of globes. When switched off, a high-frequency ringing can be heard throughout the room. They are only silent in full light. My previous "exposures" never did such things.

These are the best bulbs on the market! They're perfect for almost any situation where you want to see pure, beautiful color. They don't cause eye strain like many other lamps on the market because they don't produce harsh yellow reflections. I love these lights! Please never stop making them.

I bought these bulbs because the first of the original dimmable LEDs in my bathroom light burned out after 5 years. It has the same light output and color temperature as the old bulbs, but this new replacement is noticeably whiter and brighter, but still warm and not glaring at all. I can just replace the rest.

I really like the color quality of the light from the Reveal series. I haven't tried LED bulbs yet as I really like these incandescent bulbs. Delivery was ok, no damage or broken bulbs, which always worries me. They seem to fade faster than I remember, but then again I leave them on for 6+ hours or more. I will continue to buy them while they are still available.

Are those halogen bulbs enlarged with a second dome to make them look normal? They give off a pleasant light. I'm not sure about the lifespan though. They really make a lot of noise when the dimmer is on. I replaced them with some Bulbrite units that have a thicker outer shell. They walk silently. It's probably fine on an on/off switch. However, not recommended for dimming applications.

I use these 72 watt Reveal bulbs in every fixture that supports a 75 watt bulb and never change. I tried several other bulbs and they just gave more lumens than others, especially for the price. Halogens are an alternative when you need more light, but they don't look as good as GE Reveals, IMO. I use halogen lights in our bedrooms but GE Reveals lights are used in the bathrooms and kitchen.

These bulbs will burn out. Literally. they explode! Not sure at all! Out of 4 packs 2 bulbs broke and that's only one month! I just looked at the lifespan on the box and right on the box it says 0.9 years. Even if they don't detonate within a month (putting my house and life on the line), 9 years is a very short lifespan. At least not recommended. GE should take care of this situation and at least refund the people who bought them.
