Not so hot in detail

Look at the picture I've attached to this review. In the photo there are 4 devices. 3 devices transmit information. The 4th element, this element is dark. Why? This is because the DB8 connector was plugged into the housing upside down. The DB9 connector has the wide side up. The adapter you received has the broad side of the plug on the back of the adapter, so when placed with other items, the necessary information is on the bottom of the device. I was trying to install Windows 10 and my old Prolific USB adapter didn't work with Windows 10. In fact, I often had trouble getting it to work after every update on Windows 7 because the drivers keep crashing were affected by bugs. Apparently, the manufacturers of these devices abandoned them. As for this GearMo USB RS-232 serial adapter, I can confirm that it is plug and play with Windows 10. FTDI + signal lights = flawless win

After struggling with corrupted data on my PL2303-based adapter every few minutes, I suspected problems with the target device, especially if the problem persisted after switching adapters, reloading drivers, and trying things out another PC persisted A Prolific chip with another Prolific chip will not fix anything!
