Large Spindle Nut Socket Set

Very happy with this set. I have already used some of them extensively on my Dana 80. For a price close to the price of a single socket, you can buy the whole set.

Pros
  • 2467 - 4 hole socket for removing and installing 4 slot front axle locknuts on 1986 to present F Series 1/2 ton trucks, full size Bronco with Dana 44 axle, Ford 1984-92. Ranger and Bronco II with manual hubs and Dodge Trucks
Cons

74 Chevy K10 Axle

A good set contained the sockets I needed for a Chevy 74 4WD required, the nut was cross-threaded and I popped the poop out of the socket and it held up with no problems.

Pros
  • 6 1/2" chrome vanadium steel sockets for most 4WD SUVs and light truck axles with locknuts"
Cons
  • Other Other

Good quality tool at an affordable price.

I should have ordered this tool a few years ago. I work on many new Ford F-250s and F-350s. This kit works well for all years of front and rear tools.

Pros
  • 3937 - 4 hole socket for removing and installing 4 front axle locknuts on 1993 and newer Ford Ranger, Bronco II and Explorer with manual hubs; 1995 - New F-Series 1/2, 3/4 and 1-ton trucks and full-size Broncos with manual hubs; 1959-85 1/2- and 3/4-ton F-Series trucks and full-size Broncos; 1960-90 GM 1/2-ton and full-size Blazers/Jimmys; 1969-72 International 1/2 ton trucks; 1/2 ton Dodge Trucks 1969-89 with manual hubs
Cons
  • I have no particular complaints about it, everything is fine

Excludes some popular sizes

Purchased in hoping it covers what I need it for, 4WD trucks. Shop around for a 1992 f250 and none of these will match the front bearings. Long needle tips and a screwdriver were used. except that the ones that fit work as they should.

Pros
  • 3195 - Ford 4-hole socket for high shear rotating nuts on 1985 F-250 and F-350 truck rear axles and Dana 80 rear axles on Ford Super Duty trucks
Cons
  • Large and bulky

Great tool, not very good workmanship

tools fit and work great, they work well and do their job work. You lose a star for tooling. It's a flat black textured cheap finish that scratches easily, doesn't clean well and looks like they forgot a step in the coating process. This coating is found on many Gearwrench / KD Tools / Danaher instruments. I wish they had a smooth surface that can be cleaned. since these guys are used to parts that use gear oil and grease.

Pros
  • "3910D - removes front spindle to access needle bearing when greasing and front wheel alignment; 5/8"-18 fine thread allows slide hammer; Fits 2"-16, 1"-5/8"-16 and 38mm-15 spindle thread sizes; GM, Ford and Full Size Jeep with Dana" front axles
Cons
  • Frequency
