Too fragile. Cannot handle rated power.

Glass is very fragile. Bending the legs in any way without first supporting the base of the wire will break the glass 100% of the time. But especially when I plug 5W into the switch for a few minutes, the tabs get stuck and won't switch with a magnet anymore. I've tried this on both the NO side and the NC side. After applying 5 watts of power to the switch for a few minutes, the reeds will remain attached to the rod you operated. I even tested it with 3W. Still stuck after a few minutes…

Pros
  • max. switching current: 0.5 A; Maximum charging current: 1.0A.
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other picks

Technically they work, but not very well.

Technically they work, but no, like others have said, tolerance is terrible. If electronics are available on the test bench, I can easily open the circuit with a magnet, but finding a place in the application to get a reliable open circuit is very difficult. Make these particular unusable. I'm not sure if this is due to the bias magnet being too strong or if the supplied magnet is made more magnetized by using other magnets to open the circuit. I believe that will happen later. Because after a…

Pros
  • Maximum switching voltage 100 VDC. Operating temperature: -20 to 80 degrees.
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Works but not for my circuit

These are very small reed switches - 1/2" x 1/8" x 1/8". These are normally closed (Form B) SPST reed switches that use a bias magnet to hold them in the closed position to hold is indicated by the review written in French. The stronger magnet included in the kit overcomes the biased magnetic field and opens the contact when approached.A small bar in the relay case is a bias magnet and is attached to the side of the Actuator Installed The actuating magnet must be the NS properly aligned for the…

Pros
  • Kit contains: 10 reed switches, 20 small general purpose round magnets.
Cons
  • Obsolete
